Lovely Lace!

Hi everyone,  I hope your week has got off to a good start.  I've a busy week work wise ahead with lots of travelling for the next few days so I'm hoping the snow is going to hold off until Thursday!  Anyway onto today's card, I thought I would make a shabby chic style card to show off the gorgeous new lace that is now in the Crafty Ribbons Shop.

Here is some info about the lace from the Crafty Ribbons Shop:

'Our lace is manufactured in France using traditional methods.
Not a computer in sight, the lace is spun from bobbins on machines that are almost 80 years old,
the design is produced using hole punched cards.
How do we know this?
We visited the factory - the smell and noise of the machine room was wonderful!'

This lace is so beautiful and comes in so many colours! The lace on my card is Clermont Cotton Lace in Creme.

Have a lovely week.

A Gorjuss Birthday Card ............

Hi everyone, I hope your week is going well.   I have a Birthday card to share with you today that I made using some of my lovely crafty Christmas presents I received.  The gorjuss girl decoupage and papers were from my sister and the pretty kraft bow was from my friend Marianne. I did get a whole pack of these bows not just the one and it was the perfect finishing touch to my card.

I made this card for one of our friend's little girl who turned 8 on Sunday.   We all went ice skating for her Birthday last weekend which I have not done for years.  It was far harder than I remember but then maybe as I'm getting older I'm getting a bit more a scaredy cat. I was so relieved when it was finished and there were no broken bones between us lol!

Ribbon Inspiration ..............

Hi everyone, I have some ribbon inspiration with you today.  I love adding bows to my cards but rather than tie my ribbon into a bow I sew a couple of little stitches into the centre which makes my ribbon sit much flatter onto my card and then I hide the stitching by putting a flower in the centre.

The beautiful ribbon I have used on my card is Swiss Dot - Beauty and White by Crafty Ribbons

Winter Wonderland Challenge ..............

Hi everyone, it's Friday already so time for another challenge at Winter Wonderland and our theme for you this week is 'Metal'.

There is a fab prize for this week's winner which is a £10 voucher from Crafts U Love

You don't have to make a Christmas card but I want to make an early start on mine this year.  The plan is to have all the cards done with inserts in and written out by the end of November!   So this card is not going away until I have put an insert in and written it out!

The lovely LOTV stamp was a Christmas pressie from my friend Marianne, what a great choice of present!

An Altered Notebook

Hi everyone, I have an altered notebook to share with you today.  These are a great little gift to give to family and friends and only cost a few pence to make and you can use up scraps of paper and ribbon.

I have used a gorgeous image called Digi Bird Table from Little Claire on my notebook and being a digi image I could resize to fit my book perfectly.

You can see a tutorial on how I made the notebook over on the Little Claire Blog.

A Gift Bag ..............

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a good weekend.  I have had a nice day, a bit of crafting this morning and me and Grace have been to a friend's this afternoon.  Hubby cooked a curry for tea and now time for a bit of blogging.

I have a gift bag to share with you tonight which I made to put a friend's Birthday present in last week.  It was such a dull day last Saturday when I made it I had to put it on the window sill to get some light for the photo!

I made the bag using papers and toppers from the Bebunni Floral CD.  I added a little bit of stitching to the papers which is my new favourite thing at the moment and a few die cut flowers and it was done!

A Birthday Card .................

Hi everyone and happy Monday to you! It's my first day back at work today after having 2 weeks off so I have scheduled this post. This is a recent Birthday card that I made using the Bebunni floral CD.    I decided to get my sewing machine out to use on my card as I have not used it on my cards for a while but I really love the look of stitching on cards so I must do it more often!
