Hi everyone as it's the first of the month it's time for another challenge at Crafter's Companion and our challenge for you this month is a nice easy one of 'Anything Goes'. I have used a gorgeous image from Sheena Douglas which you can find on the Crafter's Companion website.

30th Birthday Card ........

It was my friend Julie's 30th Birthday last week who had the disney fancy dress party and this is the card I made for her. The image is from the Strawberry Kisses range from Crafter's Companion and I think this is my favourite stamp from the collection.

I've been full of a cold for the last few days I only got about 3 hours sleep last night as I just couldn't stop coughing so I'm hoping that tonight will be better!

A Card for a Golfer ..........

Hi everyone, I've had such a busy weekend. Me and Will went out on his work do on Friday night which was a casino night and lots of fun. I got quite into the roulette wheel! Last night we went to my friend's 30th Birthday party which was disney themed and was great seeing everyone dressed up and today we have taken Grace to a Birthday party so I am completely exhausted! With all these nights out I have some great pics I want to scrapbook!

Anyway onto my card this is for a relation that loves Golf so I thought this image from the Digi Stamp boutique would be just perfect! The sentiment is from Pollycraft and the paper is cosmo cricket.

A Handbag!

Hi everyone I've no card to share with you today I have a handbag! I went on a handbag workshop on Saturday which was my Christmas present from Will and this bag is the result! The embroidey stitches are not perfect but I'm pleased with the results and I have learnt a new skill which I hope to put to good use again when I have practised a bit more.

I'm watching DIY SOS as I type this and oh it's so sad already! I never going to get through it without tears!

I have chosen Flowers, Pollycraft Image and Die cuts for my line. The fab image on my card is called Sonny Honey Cloud Butterflies from Pollycraft. The beautiful papers on my card were a Christmas present from my friend Marianne, thanks Marianne! It makes a nice change to make a card in those lovely bright colours, I have to be very careful that every card I make does not end up pink!

Christmas Scrapbook Page 2nd of December ........

Hi everyone well my Christmas scrapbook is progressing slowly. This is my layout for the 2nd of December showing Grace with a new advent calendar I made her at Craftaganza. It has 24 little boxes and one big one for Christmas day.

Well, things are finally progressing with my Christmas plans, the cards are all sent well apart from hubby's that I have not made yet! The presents are wrapped and the tesco shop is all ordered ready to be delivered on Friday night, that feels a big relief!

If any of my blogging buddies are interested we are having a DT call over at Winter Wonderland. As a DT member you only need to make one card a fortnight and you will end up super organised all ready for next Christmas. You can see all the other details here.

Another Birthday Card .........

Hi everyone, I have another Birthday card to share with you today. This card is for my friend who turns forty on Christmas Eve. I posted it yesterday so I hope that it will arrive on time! I've scheduled this post as I'm taking Grace to an indoor play place today to meet some friends. I have finally finished the Christmas shopping but I still have to make Will's Christmas card and do loads of wrapping. It's always the wrapping that gets left, I expect I will still be at it on Christmas Eve!

Hi everyone, my blog has been a bit quiet this week, work has been busy and Grace has had 2 plays and 2 Christmas parties all on one day so its been a hectic time. I've been busy today trying to get my Christmas cards all written. Just some more to post tomorrow and I'm nearly getting there. Hi everyone, well I've only managed to create two pages of my Christmas Scrapbook Journal but I'm really enjoying taking part in Shimelle's journal your Christmas online class and although my progress is slow I know I will manage to complete the project as I'm writing my notes and taking photos everyday. Journal Your Christmas

Hi everyone, a second post from me tonight to just share the first page of my Christmas journal that I am making this year. I'm taking part in Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas online scrapbooking class. My goal you will see from my title page is to make a page for every day right through to January. As part of the class you receive daily prompts of suggestions for your journal as well as a photography prompt. As I don't have the time to do a layout every day I'm taking photos and writing post it notes and putting in my journal for each day so that when I get time to a layout it should come together really quickly. As well as recording memories I want this journal to help keep me focused on the magic of Christmas and not get stressed about everything that I still need to do.

I hope to be posting some more completed layouts very soon!

More E-craft Samples ...............

Hi everyone I have some e-craft samples to share with you tonight. On my first card the flower is cut on the e-craft and then sprayed with water and scrunched up to give it so much shape. I love these shabby chic kind of flowers. This flower was from one of the image cards called fundamentals 2.

My second card tonight is quite a simple one for me but I'm pleased with how it turned out. The swirl leaf is from another e-craft image card called Swirls and Flourishes which is packed with gorgeous cuts.

Some e-craft Samples ..........

Hi everyone, I have some e-craft samples to share with you today. If you have not heard of the e-craft before it is a fantastic electronic die cutting machine but it is different to other machines in that it does not need a sticky mat to make your cuts with. Leann Chivers from Crafter's Companion will be demonstrating this fantastic machine on Create and Craft on Sunday at 11am - 1pm and 5pm and 7pm.

The beautiful poinsettia on my first card was cut on the e-craft and the papers are from the
Winter Cheer SWALK CD.

On my second card I have cut the butterfly on my e-craft, I am so in love with these butterflies! The papers are from the SWALK CD and a darice embossing folder.

Cath Kidston Card ...........

Hi everyone, well I had a few lovely days at Craftaganza and made some lovely craft projects and learnt some new techniques, I will show you some pictures of my projects soon. However my lovely days away were soon forgotten when I got home as by the time I got back Saturday night my little Grace had started being sick and by Monday evening I was spending the night in hospital with her on a drip as she had acute gastroentertis. I am so glad we only had to spend one night in hospital and Grace improved enough to come home the next day. I only got about an hour's sleep when were in hospital so I was in bed at 6.30pm last night! My little Grace is on the mend now but its going to take a while till she is properly better.

So this is a card that I made a few weeks for my husband's auntie. I am a bit of Cath Kidston fan so when I went Christmas shopping a few weeks ago in York I brought some wrapping paper from the Cath Kidston shop and I thought it work well as backing paper for cards which is how I have used it here.

Hi everyone, I had a little break from my DT position with Pollycraft but I'm fully back now with the team and so here is my challenge card for this week's challenge over at the Pollycraft. Our theme for you is 'Friends' and as I still have loads of Christmas cards to make I thought I would use the theme on a Christmas card.

I have used this super sweet image from the 'Chester Christmas' range and this one is called 'Chester's Letter's from Pollycraft. The letter comes blank so you can just add your message which I think is a great idea!

I made this tag using up some scraps which is for a challenge to 'Create a holiday gift tag design that’s easy to replicate!' You can see the challenge here along with a great tutorial on making gift tags.

Trick or Treat?

Hi everyone, I have a layout to share with you today which I made for some of the challenges of Shimelle'sPretty Paper Class online class which I'm taking part in at the moment. I am really enjoying this class and learning so much. The challenges for this layout were to add dimension which I have done with my rosette flower and to use smaller photos. As I had no Halloween themed papers I just found some in my stash which were the right colour and I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

The journalling on my page is about Grace enjoying the trick or treaters calling round to the house. I've so pleased I've made another page and recorded another story for Grace to look back on when she grows up.

Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge .....

Hi everyone, I'm a bit late sharing this card, I had an awful day at work yesterday and came home with an awful headache and more work to do in the evening so I didn't get round to posting my card. Thankfully today was a better day at work so here I am with my card!

This month's challenge at Crafter's Companion Let it Snow, Let it Snow! So we would love to see all your snowy creations. My DT card features a stamp from the Winter Cheer SWALK range from Crafter's Companion. I really adore this range of stamps they are so cute and perfect to send to any age. Happy Halloween and a Christmas Card ............

Hi everyone, well I hope you all enjoyed Halloween, we had loads of trick of treaters round tonight as we left a pumkin outside. It didn't take long for the sweets to go then the biscuits and then had to resort to Will's cakes for packing up which he was not too happy about! We had about 10 children round when we went to the door once and when we came back in Grace sat down and said 'All those children, I can't believe it!' She sounded so funny!

A Handmade Fairy .............

Hi everyone I have another scrapbook page to share with you today which I made as part of Shimelle's pretty paper party online class which I'm taking part in. The challenge for this page was to use Kraft cardstock plus one other colour. I think I went a bit overboard on the Kraft cardstock here but it at least this is another memory recorded. I did manage to also use some paper I have had in my stash for at least five years so that felt really good to be using some of it up. This layout was about Grace going to a fairy craft class at centre parcs when we went on holiday in September. She said this class was her favourite about her holiday!

I've scheduled this post as the new Range opened yesterday in King's Lynn so I thought I should check out the craft section today, well it would be rude not too!

A Scrapbook Layout .....

I have a second post for today, that does not happen very often! Anyway I have a layout to share with you that I made as I am taking part in Shimelle's Pretty Paper Scrapbooking Online Class.

I've never taken part in an online class before but I am really enjoying it and learning so much! The challenge for this layout was to use a patterned paper for the background instead of cardstock. Now this was quite a challenge for me as I always start off with plain cardstock but I really like the look of this page and I will be doing more like this in the future. I also used three different manufacturers of paper and that is something I don't do very often either.

A Scrapbook Layout and Ally Pally Pics!

Hi everyone, well no cards to share today but I do have this layout of my little Grace. This photo is one of my favourites that I have taken of her just lately and it was just a quick snap on my phone.

I have used stash from Scrapagogo Monthly Kit to create this page. The kits making putting a page together to easy. Instead of turning my craft room upside down looking for stash Scrapagogo have done all the hard work putting everything together for you. The part not from the kit are the swirls in the corners of the pages which I stamped and embossed with white embossing powder and the flower which I cut on my e-craft.

I had the most fanastic time yesterday at Ally Pally with my friends Marianne and Lisa and brought lots of lovely crafty goodies. I also got to meet up with my lovely Crafter's Companion DT buddy Jacqui and two lovely blogging buddies Vicky and Heidi.

I didn't think I had that much in my bag but as you can see by the picture below I did have lots of lovely stash!

These are two projects which I made with the My Memories software:

This first layout was made using a premade album so I only had to drag and drop my pictures in and add a title and journalling. This type of album is excellent for holiday pictures when you have so many to scrap!

This second layout is of my gorgeous little niece Anya whoose first Birthday we celebrated on holiday this year. I made this album using papers and embellishments that come with the software. This software is so easy to use I made this layout without reading any instructions! There are some great video tutorials on the My Memories Blog however if you do feel that you would like some help. These will also help you make the most of the software.

A Scrapbook Layout ...........

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had a great weekend. I have a scrapbook layout to share with you tonight which I have made using a free kit from Scrapbook Magazine and lots of cutting on my wonderful e-craft machine from Crafter's Companion. I cut my letters, flowers, swirls and bunting all on my e-craft machine which I love. It's great for cards but as you can see from this layout it is also fantastic for scrapbook layouts too. As the e-craft will cut all the fonts on your computer you never need worry about your titles again as you will have loads of fonts to choose from and it cuts them so perfectly!

The pictures on my layouts are of my little Grace being made into a sand mermaid on the beach by her uncle and as you can see by the smile on her face Grace loved it!

Hi everyone, time for another challenge at Winter Wonderland and our theme for you this week is 'For the men in our lives'. I have used another gorgeous decoupage image from the fantastic Humphrey decoupage range by Crafter's Companion which is going to be Pick of the Week today on Create and Craft. I thought this image would make a great man's card.

Hi everyone, just a quick post from me tonight to share a sneak peak of the fantastic Humphrey Decoupage which will be the pick of the week on Create and Craft on Friday. The decoupage is by Crafter's Companion and I love it! If you visit my blog regulary you will know that I am a fan of decoupage and I have to say this is my favourite decoupage ever!!! I think this little pair are just the cutest!

Fancy a Nosey ?

Hi everyone and welcome to my new followers. I wondered if you might like a look at my new craft room, if you are anything like me I love to have a nosey at other crafter's craft rooms and see what solutions they come up with for storage.

My room had to be pink as this is my favourite colour. I would like some of the storage to be a bit prettier but its difficult to get the balance between pretty and practical. I think mine is more practical but I love having my own space and everything to hand. Before this room was finished I used to craft on the dinning table which was no good when I was so tired and left everything out and then there was no where for my little girl Grace to eat her breakfast!

Anyway I hope you enjoy having a look at my craft room.

Can you see my lovely speccies on my desk and my other new love which is my e-craft machine? This is a lovely corner desk but I still manage to run out of space!

This is the other side of the room with my other desk which has my sizzix bigshot and paper trays. The lovely colourful storage unit is from Hobbycraft and holds my A4 card. This was a fantastic buy I only wish I could fit another one in the room but there is not enough floor space!

I had to share this picture with you of my fanastic teapot hanging line. I can't take credit for finding this my friend Marianne came accross it and so I got one too, and it is great for hanging sketches on and info on my DT work for Crafter's Companion.

Winter Wonderland Challenge.........

Hi everyone, I have a Christmas card to share with you today for my DT card for Winter Wonderland and our theme for you this week as set by my DT buddy Suzi is White on White so we only want to see colour on your image. I always come out in cold sweat at the thought of not using patterned paper but I am very pleased with the results I have achieved with this card and I really must make more of them!

I have used a gorgeous snowman stamp for my card which I have coloured with fabby spectrum noir pens which are both from Crafter's Companion. I just love the shading you can achieve with the spectrum noir pens.

A 60th Birthday Card .........

Hi everyone, I have another Tatty Ted card to share with you today that I made for an order. There is a bit of glare on this picture as I sprayed the bear with Spray and Sparkle from Crafter's Companion and it finished off the card beautifully!

It's been so wet and miserable here in Norfolk I hope its better tomorrow as I am taking Grace out to an animal farm.

Hi everyone, my second post for today (please see post below for my candy winner) is to share my DT card for this month's challenge at Crafter's Companion and our theme for you this time is 'Glitter and Glitz'. So we want to see lots of sparkle and gems on your card. As I love glitter this was the perfect challenge for me!

I have used one the new gorgeous SWALK releases on my card which you can get on the Crafter's Companion website. I love the sentiment which comes with this card which reads 'Daydream Believer'. The flower and swirl have been cut on my fantastic e-craft machine which is also from Crafter's Companion.

My image has been coloured using my new speccies, I am so loving these pens!

Hubbys Birthday Card.......

Hi everyone, it was my husband Will's Birthday yesterday and this is the card that I made for him. I used a lovely image from LOTV and used my new Spectrum Noir pens from Crafter's Companion I am so loving my new pens and exploring all the new colours and colour combinations.

I am still waiting for the sunshine to arrive in Norfolk but there is no sign of it yet! I hope it does come out as we have some friends coming round for a bbq later.

New Humphrey Sneak Peak!

Hi everyone, and welcome to my new followers. Today I have a sneak peak of one of the new Humphrey stamps from Crafter's Companion which will be released on Friday on the Crafter's Companion website and on Create and Craft on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. I think this baby Humphrey stamp is just perfect to welcome a new little person into the world and great for girls and boys. I know I will be using this stamp alot! My First Spectrum Noir Card!

Hi everyone, I just had to make a card to show you using my fantastic new Spectrum Noir pens from Crafter's Companion. I can honestly say these are the best pens I have ever used so I am very excited about them! They blend so lovely together and being able to purchase them in colour families takes all the hard work out of deciding what colours to put together! I coloured the gorgeous Humphrey also from Crafter's Companion for my card.

Hi everyone, well I have had an exciting day today as my fantastic my fantastic Spectrum Noir pens from Crafter's Companion have arrived! I thought Christmas had come early! I have been having lots of fun colouring with these fantastic pens and I will be back tomorrow with a card made using them so please do pop back! Don't forget that it is launch day tomorrow on the Crafter's Companion website. I think these pens will be so popular as they are just as good if not better than other alchol pens I have used and they are so much cheaper and refillable!

Exciting News and a Demo Day

Hi everyone, well I just wanted to share my exciting news with you and let you know that I am now a craft demonstrator for Crafter's Companion. I spent a whole weekend of training back in May with Sara, Leann and Claire from Crafter's Companion and I had the most fantastic time. There is a team of demonstrators for Crafter's Companion and it was such a pleasure getting to them all on the weekend. I think this must be my dream job, being in a craft shop showing other crafter's all the fantastic products from Crafter's Companion!

I wanted to also let you know that I will be doing a demo day this Saturday the 9th of July at Mindy's Craft Corner, which is at 66 Alexandra Road, Skegness, PE25 3RE so if any of my blogging buddies fancy a day out at the seaside please stop by and say hi, I would love to meet you!

First Birthday Card ...........

Hi everyone, well it certainly is a hot one in here in Norfolk today! I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine.

I made this card for my mum to give to my niece who celebrated her first birthday with us whilst we were away on holiday. This is a large 8 x 8 card and I was really pleased with how this one turned out. I used distress ink on the edges of the image and sprinkled a glittery embossing powder straight onto the distress ink and heated it. I really love the sparkly effect this gives.
