I thought I would go for a shabby chic effect on this one as I'm really loving that style at the moment and really enjoyed making this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Shabby Chic Cards x 2 ..........

Hi all, this is a scheduled post as I'm back to work today boo hoo!  After being for over 2 weeks it will be very hard getting out of bed this morning!  Never I must be positive and thankful I have a job so onwards and upwards so they say!

I made these cards just before Christmas for friends who have birthdays in December.  They are very similar cards just with different sentiments.   I embossed the sentiments with pink glittery embossing powder that looks really sparkly in real life!

I have used some gorgeous Chantilly Cotton Lace - Jane and some Seam Binding both from Crafty Ribbons.  The papers are from LOTV, flowers and twine from the Ribbon Girl.  The leaf die is by Joanna Sheen. The first sentiment is from Inkylious and the second is by Woodware.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Lovely Lace!

Hi everyone,  I hope your week has got off to a good start.  I've a busy week work wise ahead with lots of travelling for the next few days so I'm hoping the snow is going to hold off until Thursday!  Anyway onto today's card, I thought I would make a shabby chic style card to show off the gorgeous new lace that is now in the Crafty Ribbons Shop.

Here is some info about the lace from the Crafty Ribbons Shop:

'Our lace is manufactured in France using traditional methods.
Not a computer in sight, the lace is spun from bobbins on machines that are almost 80 years old,
the design is produced using hole punched cards.
How do we know this?
We visited the factory - the smell and noise of the machine room was wonderful!'

This lace is so beautiful and comes in so many colours! The lace on my card is Clermont Cotton Lace in Creme.

Have a lovely week.
