Penny Black Saturday Challenge ........

This week's challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is stars and strips. I thought this theme would work well for a man so this is what I have come up with. I made the star embellishments myself so I hope they look ok.

I realise looking at my last card that I have had a bit of green and blue theme going on this weekend, I'm not sure why, but I do like these colours together!

Double Challenge Card .........

This card is for one of my mum in law's friends who has just got a job after being very poorly for the last couple of years, but after an operation she is now fit and well so I thought it would be nice to wish her luck in her new job.

This card is for 2 challenges the first is a sketch challenge by Carol over at Carol's Paper Playce. Carol is doing a sketch every fortnight and she has a lovely stamp up for grabs for this one.

The other challenge that this card is for is for Arty Girlz Weekly Challenge. This week their theme is summer, so this is my entry as butterflies and flowers make me think of summer!

I hope you are all enjoying some nice weather today. Thanks for stopping by.

Samm's Sketch Challenge

This layout features a picture of me and Grace on a playgroup trip to a farm. I thought it would make a nice page for her album as so far I have only put pictures in of Grace but I am sure when she is older she will want me and her dad in there too!
I made this layout using Samm's Sketch over at Scrummy Stash Cafe. This sketch was so simple to follow I really enjoyed creating this page.

My friend Vicky kindly sent me this image as I currently only have one Sarah Kay stamp but I do have another one on order!

Sketch Saturday - Sketch 13

These two cards were made using this week's sketch over at Sketch Saturday. I had great fun making these 2 cards using this sketch. This sketch was so easy to use and I got to use my new toy my threading water punch!

I have enjoyed the bank holiday weekend so far as Will actually got the day off today as it rained! We had a nice ride out which did include a quick visit to the Paper Mill Shop at Spalding and a pub lunch. So I've stocked up on card and some more patterned paper. I really do have a bad addiction for paper, other things I can resist but paper no! I brought two packs of paper a DCVW pink christmas pack and DCVW Nana's Nursery Baby Girl. The Nana's Nursery paper is so pretty! Some of the paper is glittered and has sheets with cherries and strawberries which I love. I can't wait to use it!

I hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday and having plenty of time to craft!

Scummy Stash Cafe - Maria's Saturday Morning Class

I completed this scrapbook page, 'Our Little Petal' by following Maria's Saturday Morning Class at Scummy Stash Cafe.
I had great fun creating this page and without following the class I would never have been so adventurous! This is really different from my normal style of scrapbooking but I am pleased with the results.

Sketch Saturday

As my husband Will has been at work all day and is still there, I thought I would make a card using this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday.
I struggled with this card, I kept pulling it apart and adding and taking bits away, I'm still not quite sure about this one! I would welcome any comments please!
I am hoping Will might be home before 9.30pm but its very unlikely unless it rains, I better get doing my rain dance!

Penny Black & Cute Card Thursday Double Challenge Card

This card is for the Penny Black Challenge Sketch 2 which I loved! I will definitively be using this sketch again! It is also for this weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday which is 'The two of us'. As I needed to make a card for my husband's sister and her husband for their anniversay next week this was a great theme!
Me and my sister took my little girl Grace swimming for the first time today, I had a little float for her to sit in which was really good. It was so funny to see her little face but she seemed to really like it! My sister took a picture of Grace in her swimming suit so I hope that I will be able to use that for a scrapbook page.

Raspberry Ribbons Sketch 2

Raspberry Ribbons added their second sketch so thought I would have ago at making a card using my new Tilda stamp.

Well the sun has come out at last, only downside is that means my husband Will will be late home from work as he works on a farm. I'm probably the only women that loves it when it rains! I only want it to rain on my little corner of Norfolk though not on everyone!

Not quite 3 weddings and a funeral ..............

but nearly! I had my auntie's 50th birthday party on Saturday, my friend's little boy's Christening on Sunday and sadly a funeral today. So I have had a busy few days. I only got one picture from the 50th party unfortunately as Grace had belly ache and cried alot. I did get some pictures from the Christening however so I hope to put them on as scrapbook page this week for you to see. All this has left little time for crafting and I have been getting withdrawal systems! I feel a bit better tonight as I have started on a card that I hope to finish tomorrow morning so that I will at last have something to post!

Raspberry Ribbon Design Team Call

Raspberry Ribbons are seeking design team members so I thought I would have ago as I do love ribbons! This is a scrapbook page that I have made using their sketch. If nothing else I really enjoyed making this page and it is another one completed to go in Grace's album.

The quote on the page came with a wooden figure of a mother and baby which was given to me as a present from a friend after I had Grace. I really love this quote so it was nice to be able to put it on a layout.

Vanessa's Layout Sketch Challenge

I really enjoyed using this layout sketch, it was perfect for a recent festival that I attended in my village. I struggled to not fill the white space on this page, but sometimes less is more! This layout is for Vanessa's Sketch Challenge over at Scrummy Stash Cafe

I no longer feel like a zombie anymore as Grace is back to sleeping through the night, yipee! I am not sure if the baby rice helped or if it is that the night's are not so hot at the moment. What ever it is I am happy to have some sleep!

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 13

I love this week's sketch over at Friday Sketchers it was perfect for this first birthday card which I made for my mum to give her best friend's grandson.

There has not been much more time for crafting this weekend as we went out last night and today. It also does not help that Grace has decided to spend half the night awake for the last week and I feel like a zombie! I have tried her on some baby rice today to see if that will help her go through the night, wish me luck!
