Favourite Colour Combo at A Gem of a Challenge ..............

Hi all and happy Saturday to you!  I'm feeling a little better today but I'm still achy and so tired! I hope I perk up a bit more by tomorrow as I've got a 10k race to take part in on Sunday!   I'm off for a little ride out today to see my friend Marianne at a craft fair so hopefully that won't tire me out too much!

Anyway onto card which is for the new challenge at A Gem of a Challenge and our theme for you this time is 'Favourite colour combo'. I've gone for pink and white on my card as I just love these colours together!  I made this card for my Auntie using a gorgeous card topper kit called Pink shoes and Prosecco.

As always there is a wonderful prize for the winner so I hope you will come along and join in with the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Celebrate 8!

Yippee it's Friday!  I hope you are having a great day!  I have a scrapbook page that I made of Grace's 8th birthday to share with you today.  I saw a layout on the Like for Ever blog here which inspired this layout.  Once I had seen it this layout just popped into my head and I had to make it lol!

It's quite different from my normal pages but I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Most of the supplies are from my Like for Ever scrapbooking kit that I get each month.  This month's papers are just the perfect colours to scrap Grace's birthday so I was very pleased about that.

Hi all and happy Tuesday to you.  I have a project life spread to share with you today.  I gave project life a try last year and then I decided I didn't like it as much as my scrapbook pages but I've seen some nice pages lately that have more paper in the background and I really like those so I've decided to give it another go!

This is my first project life page for this year.   I'm really pleased with how it turned out and I have lots more memories captured!

Grace's Birthday Card and a Marathon Photo!

Hi all and happy Tuesday to you today!  My blog has been a bit quiet the last week as I ran the Manchester marathon on Sunday. I managed to do it in 4 hours and 53 minutes so I was really pleased with that!  I'm not walking like quite so much of an old lady so I must be starting to recover!  It was a certainly a challenge running all those miles!

This is a photo of me and my sister with our hard earned medals!

So onto my card for today, it's Grace's 8th Birthday and this is the card that I have made her. I used some gorgeous fairy stamps from Lawn Fawn.   Grace loved her card which was great!

I need to get some housework done today then we are taking Grace out to tea at Pizza Hut as that is favourite place to eat out!

Thanks for stopping by.

A Fairy in a Teacup ....................

Hi all and happy Tuesday to you. I have something different to share with you this morning.  I've been seeing lots of fairies on facebook and Instagram so I decided I had to have a go at making one!  This is my first attempt but I'm quite pleased with how she turned out.  I do need more practice on the arms and legs the most but I really enjoyed making her.   I was playing a game of hide of the fairy with Grace and popped her one of my Nan's teacups that sit on my dresser and decided she looked so nice in there that I would take a picture of her!

Hopefully I will have more fairies to show you soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dream, Wish, Believe ............

Hi all, I've a card today sharing some ribbon inspiration for Crafty Ribbons. I thought these beautiful Dream, Wish, Believe  ribbons would work well on a love themed card so I've teamed them up a Crafter's Companion embossing folder.  I add a bit of distress ink to some of the flowers and birds and I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

I hope you have a wonderful day whatever your plans.  I'm off work again this week so I'm taking Grace to a Jewellery making workshop and roller skating later at our local leisure centre so she is looking very forward to that.

Thanks for stopping by.
