A Cupcake Card .........

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good Sunday.  I'm feeling exhausted after running 12 miles this morning so I think I will be taking it easy the rest of the day! I've only got 3 weeks to go until my half marathon now, I can't believe it is coming round so quickly!

Anyway onto my card, I couldn't resist this gorgeous cupcake themed image from Pink Gem. If you have not shopped there before you get a coloured and an uncoloured image. I love the coloured one so much I thought I would use that on my card. It also give me the opportunity to use of my wooden cupcakes which were a present from my friend Marianne.

A Scrapbook Page and Pancakes ...............

Hi everyone, I hope are all well and have had a good pancake day.  This is a scrapbook page that I made at a scrapbook crop that I go to.  We had a lovely kit to use and I thought the sentiment on the jar would be the perfect title for this page.  My Dad took this photo and printed it out for me which was great as I really enjoyed using a black and white photo for a change.

Did you have pancakes for tea?  We did, I love them and so does Grace and Will.  I make the batter but Will cooks the pancakes as I end up with a load of mush, not sure what I do wrong!!! Grace and Will always have a go at tossing the pancakes which is always good fun to watch!

Here is an action shoot which I can't wait to put on a layout!

Bye Bye Potato Kart .................

Hi everyone and happy Sunday.  I hope you have had a good day.  I went for an 11 mile run this morning with my running. It was hard getting out of bed at 6.30am this morning but I'm so glad I did as the weather was lovely and we ran by the wash in King's Lynn and we had such lovely views.

Anyway onto my layout, you may be wondering what an earth this layout is all about!  Well my husband Will used to work on a farm and his car used to get so full of soil I always said there was enough soil in there to set potatoes so it was nicknamed the potato kart!  Will changed his card last year as the potato kart was on it's last legs so I really had to scrap a page all about it!

I used a great sketch to make this layout from over at The Studio Challenges to make my page.

Two Boys Birthday Cards ..............

Hi everyone and happy Saturday to you, I have 2 boys cards to share with you today.   Grace recently went to a joint Birthday party for 2 boys in her class so I made 2 very similar cards for her to take. These were quite quick to make as I used some images that I had printed off from a Crafter's Companion Cd a while ago and they sat in the draw.  Don't you always feel good when you use some stash that has sat their for a while!

I added some stitching and and some gorgeous blue striped ribbon from Crafty Ribbons to finish off my cards.

I would like to add my card to the following challenges:

Time to get Nautical .................

Hi everyone we have a new challenge over at Crafty Ribbons and our theme for you this fortnight is 'Nautical'.   I loved this challenge as it made me think of summer which is just what I need with all this cold weather at the moment!  I decided to make a shopping bag for my DT creation and used some nautical fabric as well as some gorgeous sail boat ribbon which I used across the top of my bag.  I used some lovely red stripe ribbon for the mast of the boat and some blue striped ribbon for the flag at the top and finally finished off with some red and blue striped buttons and a red spotty button at the top of the mast.

This is a close up of the boat:

I embroided some little birds and waves, this was a bit like a card I didn't know when to stop! I'm really pleased with how it turned out though.

There is a wonderful prize for the winner of the challenge so I hope you will come and join in.

Thanks for stopping by.
