A Birthday Cake ..........

Hi everyone, well it's been so long since I last posted as due to our water leak we had to move out of our house for nearly a month while it was repaired so I all my craft room was packed up and put into storage. We moved back last week but we are still in a muddle with boxes everywhere as we are waiting for some new furniture to arrive.   I did manage to find a bit of time to start to learn to crochet but I need to practice a bit more before I have any of that to show you!

So last week was very eventful with moving back home and then on Saturday night my family and Will had arranged a surprise 40th Birthday Party.  I thought I was going out for a meal so I was rather surprised to find the village hall where I live full of my friends and family!   Once I got over the shock, I loved the party and I just couldn't believe that everyone had put in such hard work for me.  After such a great start to turning 40 I have decided that life does begin at 40 and I plan to enjoy every minute of it.  Especially after being so poorly last year, every minute your pain free is a bonus in my book whatever your age!

So enough of my rambling, the first picture is of the fantastic cake that my sister made. Not only did it look it amazing it also tasted it!  One layer was chocolate, one victoria and one lemon all with cream in the middle.   So by the time that's finished and the 5 boxes of chocolates I got for my Birthday are done I think I will be back on my diet lol!
