Decoupaged Spoons ..............

Hi all, I hope you are having a good week.  I had a go at decoupaging some spoons last week using some napkins.  I do need a bit more practise but I'm quite pleased with how these turned out.

I'm now looking round the house to see what else I can decoupage!

Thanks for stopping by.

Time for Tea ...........

Hi all and happy Friday evening to you!  Well the weather has been a bit rubbish here in Norfolk today.  I'm telling myself that it is saving the good weather for when I go away to Cornwall!  Fingers crossed lol!

Anyway onto my make for today.  I finally got round to do some sewing and made a picture to go in my kitchen.   I used a Debbie Shore fabric die for the teapot which is really good as you can 6 layers at a time so I have more teapots all ready cut out.  I also used a normal die to cut the bunting which did just 1 layer of fabric but cut nice rounded edge bunting!   I hand embroidered the Time for Tea.   I'm really pleased with how this turned out.  I also made some cupcake pictures to go along with this one but I will show you them another day!

A Heart Room Plaque ..............

Hi all and happy Saturday to you!  I have another gift to share with you today that I made for one of Grace's friend's whose party she went to recently.  As her friend has an unusual name I thought she might not have anything like this and her mum was very pleased as she said they can never find anything with her Daughter's name on.

I used an mdf heart for the base and covered it 2 layers of paper from Lili of the Valley.  I painted the edges in cream paint and distressed the edges of the inner heart.   The flowers are from the ribbon girl and I added some paint to the centre of them and sprinkled glitter on whilst it was still wet so the glitter then sticks nicely to the inside.   The leaf is a Joy die and one of my favourites at the moment, I love all the detail on it!

I hope you have a nice Saturday planned.  Me and Grace are off to the village hall this morning as they have a Queens Birthday celebrate and there are craft stalls and cream teas so hopefully that will nice and then I'm off to a workshop at my local craft shop Sprinkle Twinkle this afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy New Year and Some Table Painting ................

Hi all, Happy New Year to you!  I've no card to share today but I do have a table! It was my last day off work today so after running 5 miles I got the paint out and started on this project.  I brought this table for £30 in a charity shop which I thought was such a bargain as it's such a sturdy table and the leg kept falling off our last one as it had really seen better days!

I've put 2 coats of cream chalk paint on so far but it will need at least one more.  Chalk paint is great as it will stick to anything without the need for rubbing down which would have had to be done to this table using normal paint as it was very shiny.  When I've finished painting I will add a coat of Annie Sloan wax to it which will prevent the paint from chipping.  I'm really pleased with how it's coming along.

I will be back with some cards tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by.

Recycled Jars ................

Hi everyone, I have something different to share with you today.  I wanted some new vases for my kitchen windowsill so I decided to recycle some pasta jars!  I painted the jars with chalk paint which is fantastic for covering glass.  It took about 3 - 4 coats but it dries really quickly so it didn't take long to paint these.  I then clued some string round the centre of the jars and added some gorgeous Crafty Ribbons Lace and then finished off with some burlap flowers which I got from Poundland and some resin roses.

I hope this will make you look at your jars in a new light!
Thanks for stopping by.
